Experience While in Texas I played soccer for the South Austin Youth Soccer Association from 1985-87 and then I played for the Austin Flyers from 1987-1990. Our coach for the Austin Flyers was Mr.Milan Dovedon who has retired as captain of the Yugoslavia National Team in 1969. On all of these teams I played as center forward. I played in serveral tournaments in Texas including the Dallas Cup and Dallas Plano Soccer Tournament where I was awarded the best player award in 1989. I also used to coach the Austin under-six team during summer camps.
In Columbus, Ohio I also played center forward for the school team the Northland Vikings. We won the Columbus City Soccer League Championship in 1990, 1991, and 1992. I was selected for the Teams-USA 1990 European Select Cup Tour, where I played center forward in tournament games in Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, Germany, England, and France. I was awarded the best player award during the Thistle Cup in Scotland.
At Northland High School, I received the All City and All District Player Award from 1990 through 1992, and I was also a member of the Ohio All Star Team in 1991-1992. I also broke the record for most assists and goals scored at Northland High School for 1991 and 1992. I was also nominated for the All American Award in 1992.
Since 1990 I have coached under-ten city of Columbus soccer team called the Zulus. In 1990 the Zulus won the Sports Site Indoor Columbus City Championships, and were ranked first in the Columbus CityDivision by the Columbus Metro Soccer Association. The Zulus Also reached the finals of Dayton Under-10 Soccer Tournament. During this time I was also awarded Coach of the Year by the Columbus Metro Soccer Association for years 1990 through 1992. Since 1992 I have been involved and invited to coach the Rainbow Soccer Camp located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I have been part of the coaching staff at TVSA(Tri-Village Soccer Assoication) since 1992. I have received coaching awards and numerous championships around Ohio, Virginia, Washington D.c., Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, and Michigan. I have been playing for a semi-pro league team called Kissigi. This is in the first division league in Columbus, Ohio. During this time we have won the division titles from 1990 through 1995, 1997, and 1998. I have played as a center forward and sometimes a center half-back for the Kissigi Soccer Club.
I have been invited to play for the senior level Malawian National Team as a center forward for the year of 1999-2000 soccer season. |
